Location: Bonny Island, Rivers
Key responsibilities

Review discipline inspection and test plans (ITPs) and other related quality control documentation.

Ensure that only the latest approved design documents (AFC) are used at the work site.

Witness and monitor contractor activities, inspections, and testing in accordance with the approved quality plans, ITPs, and procedures.

Witness qualification testing for painters in line with project requirements.

Review material test certificates and materials receiving inspection reports to confirm compliance with specifications.

Review preservation reports for engineering fabrics and associated materials, while conducting spot inspections of stored items.

Ensure all inspection stages identified in the ITP are properly completed by the contractor.

Review and sign contractor inspection and test reports on behalf of the company.

Prepare and issue weekly summary reports based on site quality surveillance activities.

Escalate any identified non-conformances to the Senior Quality Surveillance Engineer for review and corrective action.

Review the resolution of field NCR action items.

Monitor contractor engineering fabrics activities, including coatings, insulation, cladding, fireproofing, and refractory work, to ensure installation meets the required quality standards.

Provide technical support for queries raised by contractors regarding engineering fabrics such as coatings, insulation, and fireproofing.

Monitor the contractor’s completions management process and verify related reports.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering.

Minimum Level II NACE or SSPC Coating Inspector certification.
Experience
-
4–5 years of experience inspecting coating, insulation, refractory, and fireproofing activities, preferably within the oil and gas industry.

Strong knowledge of engineering best practices, including NACE, SSPC, Shell DEPs, and international codes and standards.

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

Experience in insulation inspection.
