Role Overview
Beacon Power Services is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Associate – Marketing & Communications to strengthen and elevate the company’s brand presence while refining its narrative positioning.
In this role, you will lead impactful internal and external communications that highlight BPS’s contributions to Africa’s evolving energy sector. The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator and skilled writer who is passionate about storytelling at the intersection of technology and energy.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation and copywriting

Draft, edit, and proofread insight-driven content for multiple channels including social media, blog articles, newsletters, press releases, and website copy.

Translate complex technical and operational information into clear and compelling narratives that position BPS as a thought leader in Africa’s energy sector.
Social media management

Oversee the daily management of BPS’s social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter/X, ensuring consistent brand voice and visual identity.

Develop and execute structured content calendars aligned with marketing campaigns and business priorities.

Monitor engagement metrics and audience insights to continuously optimize performance and expand reach.
Brand strategy support

Contribute to the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns aligned with corporate objectives and growth priorities.

Enhance brand visibility and positioning across target markets through strategic storytelling and audience segmentation.
Internal communications

Collaborate with internal teams to develop impactful announcements, newsletters, and leadership communications.

Support employer branding initiatives designed to strengthen organizational culture, employee engagement, and talent attraction.
Event and webinar coordination

Assist with the planning and coordination of webinars, conferences, and industry events that highlight BPS’s expertise and impact.

Amplify event visibility through strategic pre-event and post-event communications across digital platforms.
What we’re looking for
Professional and technical strengths

Experience in marketing, corporate communications, public relations, or a related field.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail, tone, and grammar.

Demonstrated experience managing corporate social media platforms and developing engaging digital content.

Proficiency with marketing and analytics tools such as Mailchimp, Hootsuite, and Canva, with working knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics.

Ability to translate complex technical or energy-related concepts into clear, persuasive, and audience-focused narratives.
Leadership and interpersonal strengths
