The successful candidate serves as the primary contact for execution readiness and directly supervises Service Partner personnel throughout all operational stages. When offshore, the role supports the Wellwork Coordinator by providing field insights to ensure personnel, logistics, equipment, and service requirements are properly organized and managed.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide planning support to Well Management Engineers and onsite Company representatives to ensure safe and efficient wellwork execution.

  • Serve as the primary contact for execution readiness and supervise Service Partner personnel during operations.

  • Support the Wellwork Coordinator with in-field information to ensure effective coordination of personnel, equipment, and services.

  • Collaborate internally with engineering teams and externally with Service Partners, PIC, Projects, and Maintenance representatives within the SIMOPS area to maintain safe and efficient operations.

  • Communicate expectations regarding Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) and support the management of SSHE-related events.

  • Communicate operational expectations relating to oi Systems (oi), Wellwork Integrity Management System (WIMS), and Work Management System (WMS) on the job site.

  • Troubleshoot emerging operational issues and determine root causes, including non-routine failures.

  • Monitor wellwork activities and provide operational feedback to the Wellwork Coordinator and Operations Superintendent to ensure procedures are followed and emergency situations are effectively managed.

  • Assist engineering teams with the development and evaluation of wellwork procedures and programs to ensure execution feasibility and completeness.

  • Ensure compliance with all approved procedures and apply management of change processes where required.

  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive operational reports.

  • Engage with the Engineering Team to provide insight into operational and business risks.

  • Support the QA/QC team in inspecting Service Partner equipment prior to field mobilization.

  • Verify that all received equipment and supplies match wellwork program specifications and that inspections are up to date.

  • Confirm that equipment rig-up and testing are performed in accordance with company standards.

  • Review and validate the functional and pressure testing of BOP equipment.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and submit lessons learned documentation.

  • Prepare detailed handover notes for incoming supervisors.

  • Mentor and coach early-career WellWork Supervisors, production operators, and engineers, while supporting training activities where required.

  • Support onsite operational surveillance requirements.

  • Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure alignment with wellwork objectives and procedural requirements.

  • Perform relief duties as Wells Operations Superintendent when required.

Skills and qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of industry experience, including supervisory roles in wellwork, workover, rigless intervention, or hydraulic workover unit operations.

  • Prior experience working with an operator or with slickline, coiled tubing, or wireline service providers.

  • Current Well Control certification.
